cliff. >>> new this morning, sentencing day for former d.c. council chair kwame brown. he pled guilty for bank fraud charges back in june. fox 5's melanie alnwick is live at the u.s. district court this morning with a look at what brown is facing. >> reporter: good morning. brown is facing perhaps a jail term but we'll see. his original plea agreement where he admitted guilty to all of those charms called identify six-month jail sentence but right now, prosecutors seem to be softening somewhat recommending to the judge just six days in jail for kwame brown and three years of supervised probation. it was really just a high profile fall from grace. brown held the district's second highest local elected office before pleading guilty in june to providing false information on bank loan applications. one of the loans was for a 39- foot, 330-horsepower boat. brown also forged the signature of a friend on an application and doctored two forms to overstate his income by tens of thousands of dollars. another case involved an audit by d.c.'s office of campaign finance and that found that brown's
.5 million of defaulted loans due to their steep markdowns. for more we're joined by pamela brown, ph.d. student in sociology at the new school, one of the organizers of rolling to believe. explain. who is getting bailed out? >> first of all, thank you for having me on your show. rolling jubilee was an idea floating around for awhile. one of the people in the video we just saw brought the idea to a coalition we formed earlier this summer called "strike debt scrap it rose from the university debt. we started to gather and -- we started talking realize that that was the tie that binds the 99%, the intersection of wall street and our lives. >> say more how rolling jubilee happens. >> it is a very simple idea, yet no one has ever tried it before. debt collectors do this all the time. someone defaults on their dead. in other words, they cannot pay it, and the original creditor gives up on, trying to collect it. a secondary round of people involved in the debt market, which is a $60 billion market place, decides they're going to try to collect on the debt. obviously is not worth the origina

information on a study showing a possible link between the flu and autism. patti ann browne live with the details. >> hello, rick. the study found women who had flu while they were pregnant were twice as likely to have a child later diagnosed with autism. mothers with a fever lasting a week or longer whether caused by flu or something else were three times as likely to have an autistic child. the study suggests inflammation caused by the mother's immune system during pregnancy could affect the developing child's brain according to "nbc news." the 96,000 children studied were born in denmark between 1997 and 2003. the mothers were interviewed twice while they were pregnant and again when their babies were six months old. it showed women who took certain antibioticses were likely to have a child with autism, -- more likely. it is not known whether those that took the drugs were sicker than other women. women who said they had a cold, urinary tract infection or her piece were not like more likely to have a child autism. they said pregnant women who get the flu should not panic. 99%
